#2017rootstour brought Cam & The Collective across Canada which saw them perform from Victoria, BC to Tignish, PEI and back, 2018 was all about the west coast, and 2019 has been the creation of the interactive story telling and the future of the Collective.
Souther-fried Storybook Rock show Cam & The Collective. Telling the southern inspired stories of make believe bands throughout time uniting the world with music, story, distinct characters, and flow arts. We are currently promoting our two piece, 1hour and 5 minute interactive musical journey called Jimmy Rocker and his Collective Quickfix.
Jimmy Rocker, front man for the North By Norths. A guitar playing, story telling, harmonica guru, on a journey to unite the world 1 song at-a-time. United with the stories puppet master Matilda Sunrise, the universe bending flow artist with dance in her soul and silver in her veins.
INTERACTIVE STORY FILLED EXPERIENCES
We offer roaming characters during the day (Jimmy Rocker and Matlida Sunrise) performing impromptu games with the crowd around the grounds (flow arts, ad libbed mad libs, body works, action games, and more!) We can also offer various workshops throughout the festival and wander with our Wagon of Experiential learning.
Cam White is the front man to Cam & The Collective portraying the storyteller and muse weaving the tale of Jimmy Rocker together through mocha rasp filled vocals, smooth harmonica fills, loops, delays, and various characters and voices added throughout. A University trained professional actor and musician, Cam brings the noise every time he enters the stage.
2019 has saw a new member join the collective, ms. Amy Plante playing Matlida Sunrise. A Craniosacral Therapist from Grande Prairie, Alberta. She is certified and holds classes in Core Connections Transformational Arts and Ecstasis Dance, and performs as a dancer and flow artist with Cam and the Collective as well as Halo Tribal.
